Shropshire company wins Army contracts
VITAL SIGNS
An Oswestry sign writing company has won prestigious Ministry of Defence contracts to provide vinyl graphics for British Army recruitment vehicles.
Scotprint UK Ltd, based at Maes-y-Clawdd, was selected to supply and fit decals and identification signage for vehicles used as part of the Army’s careers advice service.
So far, Scotprint has liveried vehicles based in Shropshire, Cheshire, Preston and Scotland.
Retired Captain Reg Hanmer said: “The Army takes part in many different events, from recruiting clinics to experience days. They are a great way for potential recruits to see soldiers in action and find out more about what we do.
“It is important that we have easily-identified vehicles so people visiting these events can clearly see who we are and what the modern British Army is all about.
“We were very satisfied with the quality and value provided by the Scotprint team which is why, after an initial order, we have selected them to roll out more vehicles.”
Hilary Richardson, managing director of Scotprint UK, added: “Vinyl lettering is very adaptable and quick to apply. We have experience of providing full vehicle wraps – where the entire car or van is covered in artwork – motorcycle decals for race and road bikes, or identification signs such as for Health and Safety purposes.
“Scotprint is extremely proud to be playing its small part in supporting the British Army with vehicle signage and we feel honoured to think of the important role our identification graphics may play as the vehicles travel around the country, providing information to soldiers of the future.”
Scotprint UK is a local company with a national reputation. In addition to vehicles, Scotprint provides business signage, printing, branded clothing, exhibition materials and promotional gifts. Clients include Wynnstay, Pentons and the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club.
